I just wanted to start a thread about the Contest Winners and say that it has been really great reading about your experiences meeting the band and seeing the pictures posted on the main page. It makes me kick myself for not participating in the contest...lol
But I'm happy for those of you that won! Def Leppard is good to their fans because they know they have the best fans! ..of course I'm being biased...lol

Weird. I was just telling my mom last night that I'm kicking myself for not entering. It was really bad timing though, there was just a lot going on. But if they ever offer anything like this again, I am soooo in. It is really nice to read about the winners' experiences and see how great Def Leppard is to the fans. Congrats to all the winners...

ummmm....meeting the band and attending sound check for starters. Maybe you should refer back to the main page where the "NEWS" is posted. That should answer all your questions.

First off I would have to have some sort of creativity bug bite me to come up with something and secondly I would have to overcome my bashfulness and actually post it on the net for thousands of strangers to see and critique.

I can't imagine actually winning something like that. I would probably be so awestruck and shy that I would qualify as the most quiet fan those men have ever met . I probably couldn't even bring myself to ask for a picture with any of the members, wouldn't want to impose on them or something. Even though I know they wouldn't mind.

Congratulations to those who did win! It has been alot of fun reading about your meetings!

I am in true dispair that I missed out on submitting a video for this contest. Wayyy back in the late 1980's my friends and I used to make our own music videos to Def Leppard songs all the time (I still have all of them). a 20 year wait for something like this and I missed it. I guess it's only my own fault for not frequenting the website more for the latest news bits. I swear to all that is holy that they do a second contest like this since there was such a good turnout.
I am truly happy for those who submitted their clips and won though. Great job!

Hmm, maybe they should do a contest for this last leg of the tour for the peeps from Canada, since it seems alot of the dates are probably going to be in Canada.

Like, really? Then I'd have to drop the forum & put in a new addy. The forum should have a little section up top, showing any such news-THAT would be tremendously helpful. They could have direct links to the store, notices when items are very limited, any sales....

Or...you could just log in to the forum more often. There was a thread that was way up at the top of the threads for at least a couple of weeks, where people were talking nonstop about the contest, the prizes, and their videos for quite a while before the submission deadline. You didn't have to go to the news page on the main site to hear about the contest.

No mdmlep you dont understand. The Timewitch needs to be *served*. She doesnt check the OS on a regular basis to find out the news, so the news has to come to *her*.

never mind that news and store links are up on the OS.... she doesnt visit that site so that stuff needs to move to the discussion forum! Makes sense dont you think??

Or you could bookmark both sites and use a browser that's less than 2 years old and supports tabbed browsing, so you can have them both open at once.

My kids and I wanted to enter ( my daughter wanted to use her Def Leppard guitar) and my little boy just got a set of drums,but my computer was broken and I had no way to download it
but we did get to meet Rick Allen last year anyway
