Here's a look at the Action Figures. These are more of a collectable item, imo.

You can preorder JBJ and Richie as a set or separate.

I think that the Richie figure is cool. They captured him playing Wanted--dead on!

Jon's looks pretty good....that's how he was during HAND too....that black guitar.

I think they're creepy to the point of "taxidermy."

Personally, I'd rather have them look this authentic. That's better than some cheesy looking Ken doll.

I think the company did an awesome job. Kudos to them.

Hey the 'boys' look pretty good. Smile
They did a shitty job on Elvis though. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

OK, is it me, or does something seem amiss....

On the BJ website, on the news page, ittalks about the June show in London at the new O2 arena. At the end it says BJ has sold 120 million albums. Didn't they just "pass" 100 million a small number of years ago (3?). With just HAND released since the 100m mark, does 20m more since then make any sense? I know only USA #'s can be tracked for real - and I don't think they are much past 35m at this point in the US.

I understand it's advertising and there may be a little push to the #, but c'mon, 120m is Bull$#^%.

I can see it now, in the year 2011, BJ being the 1st band ever to sell 200m albums worldwide, bigger than Elvis, Beatles, JBJ may as well run for President at that point.
Actually, I can see him running for something in NY / NJ down the line when the band eventually folds up its tent.

I saw JBJ on tv last year....Sunday Morning or something...
Anyway, he said that he won't rule out running for Gov or Mayor.
Time will tell....and I think he would end up winning in NJ.

Heck I'd vote for him and I live in Pennsylvania! Very Happy

I don't really pay any attention to the 'numbers' as long as I like the band. Def Leppard's been stuck on the same set of 'numbers' (I believe it's around 65 million) for a few years now. Wink

I heard about that on the radio, and it's got me a bit intrigued on the planning side... Because the date they're playing is also the date that Aerosmith are playing their first UK gig (also in London) for nearly a decade, and I guess a lot of the Aerosmith and Bon Jovi fans are going to overlap a bit... Makes me wonder how many Bon Jovi fans are already booked up for Aerosmith... Neutral

I'm sure JBJ and his promotions team are busy, busy. Who cares if they don't tour...they can still make the money.

Great article! Thanks for posting it here for us. It explains the whole picture very well IMHO. I tend to agree with Jon about the whole top 40 thing too. I don't watch American Idol but I will be tuning in on May 1st. Wink

I watched Bon Jovi on CMT's award show tonight. While Jon looked wonderful....that song is so boring. It's slow even for Bon Jovi. Neutral

Very interesting AI tonight. At first I really hated the 'reworking' of one of my fav BJ tunes, "You Give Love A Bad Name", but I had to agree with Paula Abdul that Jon had a twinkle in his eye when he talked about Blake's doing something different wth it. Can't wait to see the band performing tomorrow night - guess I'll watch one more time. Wink Embarassed

I don't watch American Idol....so I missed the Bon Jovi thing. Will miss it again tonight, unless I stay up to watch it off the west coast stations.

Wish I could get into this country music, but I just can't. YUCK! And that first single is so boring.

I am now finished with American Idol. I can't stand the cutesy comments and playacting on there. Yuk! Sad

The only good thing about tonight's show was a recap of Jon and David coaching the contestants and BJ doing a song. While I like the new song, it is a bit slow for us rock fans. I kept waiting for them to crank it up a notch. Wink

Have you actually heard their new song? It's beyond SLOW. It's plain BORING.

I haven't heard it on the radio yet. There is just nothing to the song. Dull....
